I'm excited to make a clock similar this with a photo of my own family unit as soon as we get family photos taken later this month (wish me luck finding coordinating outfits for 7 people!).
I found the clock at Walmart and I think it's quite pretty, peculiarly considering it only cost $10. Add in a few dollars for the photo print, and this whole projection costs less than fifteen bucks.
Quick mode is the easiest mode in Photoshop Elements. After you add text to your photo, you'll want to ingather it in a circumvolve and brand certain it's the same size as your clock face (the video higher up shows you lot how to practice this).
How to make a DIY personalized photo clock
This video gives you a quick await at how I put the clock together (written instructions follow):
A little more particular on how to place the photo into the clock:
1 – Begin with a clock and a photo that'due south cropped into a circle the same size as the clock face. Advisedly cut out the photograph. two – Observe the eye of the photo and mark it. Make a modest X with an exacto pocketknife on the center mark. 3 – Unscrew the back of the clock so you can remove the protective drinking glass. 4 – Remove the clock hands. Place the photograph down onto the clock face up, allowing the mechanism that holds the clock hands to come up through the X you cut in the eye of your photograph. Employ an exacto pocketknife to trim a hole in the middle of the photo so it tin can lay flat against the clock face. 5 – Adhere the photo to the clock face up. Supplant the hands and screw the clock back together.
Your DIY personalized photo clock is done!
Fun, right? I think this projection would make a cute gift. It would be pretty cool with a giant clock and photo!
